We assist people in need, preserving their autonomy and dignity while empowering them with real support and solidary. In 2018, Achrafieh 2020 identified thirty families living in extreme poverty and accordingly supported them to become independent again. The financial and economic crisis coupled with the massive increase in unemployment and inflation, which started in 2019, drove us to dedicate more effort to raise funds to support even more families. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and Beirut Port explosion on 4 August 2020, we managed to reach 1,100 families in serious need of support. Today Achrafieh 2020 continues to seek donations from local and international communities to continue to provide families with food, financial aid, care boxes, medical attention, job search assistance, and support to repair and rebuild their homes.
